Perdizes Farm (MT) conducts entrepreneurship training
Perdizes Farm (MT), through the Social Action Group (GAS), conducted the Women Entrepreneurs training with the objective of training women in the management of agricultural businesses with a focus on entrepreneurship and leadership. The training was supported by the Rural Workers' Union of Tabaporã and the National Rural Apprenticeship Service of Mato Grosso (SENAR-MT).
SENAR (MT) Technical Project Analyst, Juliana Mardegan Ferreira, stated that "The number of women occupying leadership positions in agribusiness is increasing. Between 2011 and 2014 the number of women who participated in the Academia de Liderança (Leadership Academy) program grew by 20%, and between 2012 and 2015, their participation in the Sucessão Familiar (Family Succession) program rose by 109%. "
At the Perdizes Farm the first module began on May 4th and the target date for the closure is June 01, 2017. Participating in the training are 10 residents of Americana do Norte (MT) and 7 employees of the Perdizes Farm.
The program is aimed at women over 16 years, with minimum education equivalent to the 5th grade of elementary school. There are 20 students per class and five modules of 8 hours each, totaling 40 hours. Among the topics discussed are: property diagnosis; financial management; business planning, legislation and leadership.
