SLC Agrícola participates in the Community Leadership Program Graduation Ceremony
On November 30 at the State Technical School Guaramano from Guarani das Missões (RS) took place the Community Leadership Program Graduation Ceremony.
The project is developed by Junior Achievement Association of Rio Grande do Sul and it was promoted by SLC Agrícola.
The purpose of the Project is to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in young people. During 12 meetings, the group composed of 20 students from the 2nd year of High School, received guidance from 4 volunteer teachers, previously trained in the Program.
Students were challenged to set up a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), set their Mission, Vision and Values and identify problem situations in the community. From this, two opportunities for improvements to be worked on by the organization were identified. One, regarding the low adhesion of the community to the Nota Fiscal Gaúcha Program and the other being Ecological Citizenship. In the role of community leaders, the students visited to the Mayor's office, the City Council and the city's radio stations, in order to publicize the benefits of the actions to the community and obtain support.
