SLC Agrícola develop a Community Leadership Program
SLC Agrícola in partnership with Junior Achievement has developed at the Guaramano State Technical School, located in Guarani das Missões (RS), an activity from the Community Leadership Program.
Students from the High School Integrated with Agricultural Technician class received guidance on the activities to be carried out and on the development of a community project. With organization and planning workshops, the students decided that they would conduct a Revitalization Project on Edgar Anderson Avenue. With publicity activities on the radio and in newspapers, along with the City Hall and City Council, the young people were able to develop community leadership and social involvement skills.
The project included cleaning the avenue, painting, planting flowers and ornamental trees and building flower beds, renovating spaces such as the CTG (Gaucho Traditional Center), replacing fences and customizing bus stops, installing garbage cans and signs on environmental awareness.
