SLC Agrícola announces the acquisition of the company Sierentz and an increase in the planted area
SLC Agrícola announced, on March 7, the acquisition of Sierentz Agro Brasil Ltda. The transaction was concluded for US$135 million (approximately R$776 million) and was announced to the financial market through a Material Fact and a webinar, featuring the participation of CEO Aurélio Pavinato, CFO and Investor Relations Officer Ivo Brum, and Financial and Investor Relations Manager Rodrigo Gelain.
According to the statement, Sierentz is involved in the production of soybean, corn, and other agricultural products, as well as in cattle farming within a crop-livestock integration (CLI) system. The operation is 100% on leased areas, located in the states of Maranhão (MA), Piauí (PI), and Pará (PA), totaling approximately 96,000 physical hectares. In the webinar, Pavinato highlighted that the potential planted area of the company will increase from 733,900 hectares in the 2024/2025 crop year to a total of 833,900 hectares in the 2025/2026 crop year. ”The yields of the acquired farms are in line with what we are achieving in the region. We will begin by ensuring good production on these new farms,” he said.
