SLC Ventures, an arm of SLC Agrícola focused on accelerating innovative and digital solutions in the field, through contributions to agtechs, announces its first investment in a startup in the agricultural market. The investment is in Aegro, a company founded in 2014 that develops tools for farm management. The investment is SLC Ventures’ first step towards its goal of helping in the development of agtechs so that they can grow and deliver solutions that increase the productivity and profitability of Brazilian agriculture.

The expansion project of SLC Agrícola, with the incorporation of Terra Santa (TS) and the leasing operation of Agrícola Xingú were the topics discussed by the CEO, Aurélio Pavinato, in the webinar “Growth of SLC Agrícola”. The presentation was attended by around 400 people, including customers, shareholders and industry players.

SLC Agrícola was a protagonist in the main event on Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration (ILPF) in Brazil, the Santa Brígida Open Farm, which this year was completely virtual. Divided into two days (9 and 10 June), the event featured renowned speakers to discuss the ILPF scenario in Brazil and the environmental initiatives of companies and agencies.

Due to environmental initiatives aimed at developing increasingly green and sustainable agriculture, SLC Agrícola gained more space in the national press. This time, IstoÉ Dinheiro magazine brought a report on the ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) actions of agribusiness companies, with emphasis on SLC Agrícola.

As another step within the ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) initiatives, SLC Agrícola entered into a partnership with Rabobank Brasil for a loan linked to the company’s sustainability goals, in the amount of R$200 million.

Good news for Brazilian agribusiness. Exports in the segment broke a record in May, with US$13.94 billion, a growth of 33.7% compared to the same month in 2020, according to the Secretariat of Commerce and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture.
