SLC Agrícola attends 6th Environmental Management Seminar
The 6th Brazilian Environmental Management Seminar in Agriculture took place in Bento Gonçalves, on April 11. The opening talk was given by the Director of HR and Sustainability of SLC Agrícola, Álvaro Dilli, entitled: "What is the environmental future of agribusiness?"
Álvaro emphasized that the agribusiness sector needs to demonstrate that its products come from reliable sources and not illegally deforested areas. "We must take into account that new generations want to build careers in companies that provide a higher purpose than merely a job and wages. There is more pressure in relation to these global issues, people are more aware, and the world is changing. These factors force improvements in processes throughout the chain."
The Seminar was held during FiemaCon, which is part of FIEMA BRASIL (Trade Fair for Business, Technology and Knowledge in the Environment). The event attracted around 10,000 people.
