SLC Agrícola wins the Top Ser Humano Award with a case on female leadership

SLC Agrícola won the Top Ser Humano Award, from the Brazilian Association of Human Resources of Rio Grande do Sul (ABRH-RS), with the “Female Leadership at SLC Agrícola: The importance of women in agribusiness management positions” case.

This year, SLC Agrícola´s award-winning case recalled its reasons for creating the Female Leadership Program: the search for female leadership and boosting careers. The idea of the initiative is also to develop and train women to occupy executive, management and command positions within the organization's hierarchy. The project focuses on collaborators, from female interns and trainees to the formation of a group of female Coordinators and Managers within the scope of the company's Leadership Academy. The final result is more gender balance and equity among collaborators.

For Déa Machado, Manager of People Management, Communication and Marketing at SLC Agrícola, the creation of new female leaders is ongoing work within the company. "We seek to involve all collaborators in the culture of inclusion and diversity, and the appreciation of women in the context of work is something we build on several fronts, such as through the Women's Leadership Program, where we encourage and stimulate the development of new female leaders. In addition, we want them to be increasingly valued and have new career opportunities”, she says.
