Soybean harvest reaches 91% in the country, with some states close to 100%
Good news for soybeans, one of the main Brazilian agricultural crops and one of the flagships of SLC Agrícola. According to Safras & Mercado, the oilseed harvest in Brazil is 91%. Despite registering a slight delay, when compared to the same period of the previous harvest, the number is quite positive and brings a trend of record productivity in this harvest, as three states have already finished the work and another three have 99%.
Two of the states that have SLC Agrícola farms have already completed the harvest: Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. In Goiás, where the company is also present, 99% of the harvest has already been carried out. Among the other states that have production units of SLC Agrícola, Bahia has 90% of the process completed, while Piauí has 86% and Maranhão has 85%.
In an overview of the grain market, the consultancy Datagro points to a planted area of 68.88 million hectares for the harvest that will be harvested in 2021, an increase of 3.1% in relation to the previous survey. The grain harvest, on the other hand, should be 273.93 million tons, an increase of 3% in relation to the previous harvest.
