SLC Agrícola director participates in Globo Rural magazine’s sustainability live stream
SLC Agrícola, one of the world’s leading producers of grains and fibers, won the title of champion in the Best of Agribusiness ranking, by Globo Rural magazine, in the Sustainability category. As part of the awards, Globo Rural held a special live broadcast, which featured the participation of Álvaro Dilli, director of Human Resources, IT and Sustainability at SLC Agrícola. The theme was the importance of the economic, social and environmental pillars for a promising crop.

Brazil expected to harvest 138.8 million tons of soybean in 2022, IBGE
Brazil is expected to harvest a new soybean record in 2022. Oilseed production is expected to total 138.8 million tons, an increase of 3.4% compared to 2021, or 4.5 million tons more, according to data from the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production for November, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
Brazilian cotton production expected to increase 16.5% in 2021/22 harvest
Brazil is expected to produce 2.71 million tons of cotton lint in the 2021/22 harvest, an increase of 16.5% compared to the previous season driven by the increase in the area planted with the crop, says the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers Cotton (Abrapa). The entity’s expectation is that the area will reach 1.55 million hectares, an increase of 13.5%.
Cotton planting reaches 21.9% for the area in Brazil for 2021/2
The National Supply Company (Conab) reported that planting of the 2021/22 cotton harvest advanced to 21.9% of the area in the seven main producing states in Brazil.
Brazil must export more than 86 million tons of soy in 2021
The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) slightly raised its estimate for soybean exports in December to 2.777 million tonnes, compared to 2.768 million tonnes forecast last week.
