SLC Agrícola is, once again, among the best companies to work in the agricultural segment, according to consultancy GPTW
Once again, SLC Agrícola was elected one of the best companies in the agricultural segment to work for, according to the consultancy Great Place To Work (GPTW). The company appears, in the 2021 edition, in fifth place in the “Large Companies” category. The audit is carried out by the consultancy in partnership with Globo Rural magazine and with the support of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (Abag).
Soybean harvest reaches 91% in the country, with some states close to 100%
Good news for soybeans, one of the main Brazilian agricultural crops and one of SLC Agrícola’s flagships. According to consultancy Safras & Mercado, the oilseed harvest in Brazil is at 91%. Despite registering a slight delay, when compared to the same period in the previous harvest, the number is very positive and brings a trend towards record productivity in this harvest, as three states have already completed the work and another three are at 99%.
SLC Agrícola’s innovation area participates in event about technology in the field
The digital agriculture coordinator, Ronei Sana, was the representative of SLC Agrícola at Agrotic 2021, which for four days discussed the importance of technology in the field and new trends for the sector. At the event, promoted by Tele Síntese, one of the main vehicles for information on technology and telecommunications, the company reinforced its position as a reference in the development of technological innovations to increase agricultural productivity.
SLC Agrícola reports 140.9% growth in net income in the first quarter of 2021
The good moment in Brazilian agriculture meant that SLC Agrícola reached an excellent financial level in the first three months of 2021. According to the results statement released this week, the company recorded a net profit of R$376.8 million in the period, an increase of 140.9% compared to the same quarter in 2020, while net revenue grew 30.8%, reaching R$827.4 million, due to significant cotton sales.

SLC Ventures makes first ever investment in agricultural technology
SLC Ventures, an arm of SLC Agrícola focused on accelerating innovative and digital solutions in the field, through contributions to agtechs, announces its first investment in a startup in the agricultural market. The investment is in Aegro, a company founded in 2014 that develops tools for farm management. The investment is SLC Ventures’ first step towards its goal of helping in the development of agtechs so that they can grow and deliver solutions that increase the productivity and profitability of Brazilian agriculture.
