Good news for Brazilian agribusiness. Exports in the segment broke a record in May, with US$13.94 billion, a growth of 33.7% compared to the same month in 2020, according to the Secretariat of Commerce and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Consulting firm raises forecast for global harvest 2021/22 to 2.292 billion tons
The International Grains Council (IGC) raised the global grain forecast for the 2021/22 harvest to 2.292 billion tons. The estimate is slightly higher than the previously released number, of 2.287 billion tons, and 3% higher than estimated for the 2020/21 harvest.

SLC Agrícola’s Inclusive Education Program’s main objective is to promote the continuous learning of its employees and enable Education to transform their lives. Since 2017 until today, 402 students have participated in the Inclusive Education program, in the company’s 16 Units and in 2021, 278 employees are enrolled in EJA classes on Farms. Through this program, SLC Agrícola has already reduced the illiterate rate by 70%.
CADE approves lease of 39,000 hectares of Agrícola Xingu farm by SLC Agrícola
Another step was taken for SLC Agrícola to conclude the lease agreement for the 39 thousand hectare Agrícola Xingu property. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) gave approval for SLC Agrícola to explore just over 39 thousand hectares distributed between the municipalities of Correntina (BA) and Unaí (MG). The company estimates a planting potential of 42,342 hectares, including soybeans, cotton and corn, which will be added to the company’s total area in the 2021/22 harvest.
