SLC Agrícola’s App makes it easy to do cotton commercial transaction
SLC Agrícola provides to its cotton buyers the SLC Cotton application, which aims to facilitate and give transparency to the company's business by providing the product quality data that is delivered to customers. The application is available both for Android at Google Pay as well as for at the Apple Store, for iPhone.”
On the screen, according to SLC Agrícola's Sales Manager, Filipe Mamede, items such as the contract summaries of each customer, with date of contracts, prices and shipping periods are shown. "Customers can see how was the average quality parameters of the cotton delivered in each contract were, such as visual type distribution, fiber length and strength, short fiber index, uniformity and micronaire," he notes.
SLC Agrícola's Sales Manager also points out that the customers are able to track the status of each shipping instruction, knowing at all times where their cotton is before shipping and with real-time warning from the moment the product is boarded on the ship. "There is also a scanner with which customers can scan the barcode on the label of any of their bales and check key information such as shipping port, farm of origin, batch number, processing date, quality data, amongst others", he highlights.
According to Mamede, this information contained in the SLC Cotton application makes customers realize that when buying the cotton of the company can be assured that it will be delivered according to the contracted quality, often even superior, thus opening the possibility that they to purchase again the product in the future. The manager emphasizes that customers who buy cotton from SLC Agrícola receive a username and password with which they can access all of their contract’s data. He explains that brokers also gain this type of access and are able to view contract data that has been signed through their brokerages.
