SLC Agrícola’s Education Project is recognized with the ESARH Award
Case on Inclusive Education was awarded
SLC Agrícola, one of the world's largest producers of grains and fibers, received yet another recognition for its investment in the training and development of its collaborators. Encontro Sul-Americano de Recursos Humanos [South American Human Resources Conference] (ESARH) granted the Company the ESARH Award, in the Projects category – People Management Modality, for the “Inclusive Education: continuous learning to challenge and transform” case. The award has been given by ESARH for over 40 years and recognizes the best practices in human resources with a commitment to disseminating knowledge and improving the work of organizations.
In the case, SLC Agrícola highlighted that the program is essential to deliver knowledge to its professionals in the states where it operates. Through the initiative, they are prepared to act on a daily basis and overcome the challenges generated by digital agriculture. The article addresses the initiatives to support the training of teams, acknowledgement and indicators. Among them, there is the online training platform, with over 180 courses, Young Adult Education (EJA), which is carried out in digital inclusion spaces with extensive training hours, above the market average.

SLC Agrícola, founded in 1977 by the SLC Group, is a producer of soy, cotton and corn, in addition to working with cattle raising and crop-livestock integration. It also owns the SLC Sementes brand, which produces and sells soy and cotton seeds. It was one of the first companies in the sector to have shares traded on the Stock Exchange, becoming a benchmark in its segment. With headquarters in Porto Alegre (RS), the Company has 22 Production Units strategically located in seven Brazilian states. In the 2020/2021 harvest, production totaled around 470 thousand hectares planted and the estimate for the 2021/2022 harvest is 660 thousand hectares.
