Brazil expected to harvest 138.8 million tons of soybean in 2022, IBGE
Brazil is expected to harvest a new soybean record in 2022. Oilseed production is expected to total 138.8 million tons, an increase of 3.4% compared to 2021, or 4.5 million tons more, according to data from the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production for November, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
Brazilian cotton production expected to increase 16.5% in 2021/22 harvest
Brazil is expected to produce 2.71 million tons of cotton lint in the 2021/22 harvest, an increase of 16.5% compared to the previous season driven by the increase in the area planted with the crop, says the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers Cotton (Abrapa).
