Planting of the 2021/22 cotton harvest reaches 0.20% of the estimated area
Cotton planting in the 2021/22 harvest reached the mark of 0.20% of the planned area according to information collected until November 18, with an increase of 0.07% in the week, according to the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers (Abrapa) . The entity also reported that the area sown in São Paulo is currently 33% and in Paraná, 43%. The forecast is that the 2021/22 harvest will increase by 12.6% compared to the previous harvest, reaching 1.53 million hectares of cultivated cotton.

The 2021/22 soy harvest could reach 144.3 million tons
Brazil’s soybean harvest in 2021/2022 could reach 144.3 million tons, according to Agroconsult estimates. The survey shows that favorable general climatic conditions and the growth of planted area amid good prices contribute to production. If the record number is reached, growth of 5.2% would be confirmed compared to the 137.1 million tons of the previous harvest.
The 2nd cotton harvest may have over 82% sown in the ideal window in Mato Grosso
Following the advance in soybean sowing in the 2021/22 harvest, the projection for the 2nd harvest cotton cultivation window, considered valid until January 31, shows that an additional 82% of the areas estimated for planting can be used in Mato Grosso. Sowing within the ideal period reduces the threat of productivity loss. Positive examples of this are the 2018/19 and 2019/20 harvests, which showed superior yields.
