We made progress in Water Security and Forests in the CDP
SLC Agrícola made progress in two programs of the Disclosure Insight Action (CDP), a global non-profit organization that assesses companies and governments on their transparency and performance regarding environmental issues, such as water usage, impact on forests, and climate. The CDP score indicates how committed and advanced a company is in managing these issues.
SLC Agrícola participates in the CDP because it believes that responsible management of natural resources and transparency are essential for the future of agriculture. Reporting to CDP allows the company to track its progress in sustainability, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen the trust of investors, customers, and other partners.
In CDP’s assessment for 2024, the company obtained the A- grade in the Water Security and Forests programs. The leadership group includes companies with scores A and A-. With these ratings, the company remains as part of the leadership group on these topics. In the Climate Change program, we got a B+ grade. This CDP score is also used to assess the performance of companies participating in the selection process for the underlying portfolio of B3’s ISE index, the main sustainability index of Brazil’s stock exchange.
Since 2021, SLC Agrícola has been participating in this survey, which is based on a transparency questionnaire in which companies describe their sustainability practices, and has been improving its score. The company is driven by a bold ambition of “positively impacting future generations, being the world leader in agricultural business efficiency and respect for the planet,” which makes strategic sustainability a priority for the company.
