We have expanded our production areas
We are one of the largest grain and fiber producers in Brazil and the world. Our goal is to produce efficiently, seeking maximum productivity. In addition, we are always attentive to growth opportunities, in line with our strategy.
We announced, in a Material Fact to the financial market, three new production areas. In April, we announced the expansion of the partnership with Agro Penido by adding 18,700 physical hectares, with a planting potential of 30,734 hectares (including the 2nd crop), adjacent to the area currently in operation. Of these, 9,791 hectares are already arable land and 8,909 hectares are pastureland to be converted to agriculture. Currently, at Pioneira Farm, we produce soybean and corn. Our intention for the future is to produce soybean, corn, cotton and engage in cattle production in an integrated crop-livestock system (ICL).
In July, we created a new joint venture called Fazenda Preciosa, which will develop its activities in 11,282.25 arable hectares, with a total potential of 21,837 hectares, including the 2nd crop planting. The new joint venture begins with the production of soybean, 2nd crop corn and, in the future, cotton.
In early August, we entered into a new lease agreement, an arable and developed land of 14,572.26 hectares in the state of Piauí. The new area is attached to the Parnaguá Farm and we will produce soybean and, in the future, 1st crop cotton.
By combining the three operations, we increase our potential planted area by 67,143 hectares for the 2024/2025 crop year.
In this way, we continue to strengthen the growth of Brazilian agribusiness!
