SLC Sementes holds training for employees
SLC Sementes, the SLC Agrícola brand focused on the production and processing of seed varieties, especially soybean, has been imparting training to its employees since 2018. The training program, which includes both theoretical and practical modules, and involves specialized consulting firms, has already covered about 50 employees at seven production units and three processing plants located in Goiás, Bahia and Tocantins in 2019 and 2020.
“The training provided by SLC Sementes is essential for the development of seed varieties with tremendous yield potential, thus helping to boost Brazilian agriculture, mainly in the Cerrado region. The more our employees are trained, the more the farmers will have quality seeds in their hands,” says Kátia Nicolini, processing coordinator at SLC Sementes, who participated in several internal and external training programs since 2019, when she joined the area.
“Of course, this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to adapt our training sessions, making them online events. Even so, we did not stop training our employees so that we can continue our mission of providing Brazilian farmers with seed varieties and programs that increase their crop yield and profitability,” says Kátia.
Training employees, for example, was essential for the company to launch SLC Sementes Garante, a program designed to guarantee a quality rate of 90% and greater commitment to product delivery, besides assuring farmers strong and healthy plants with faster germination period.
