SLC Agrícola uses Weedseeker tool
Searching for the most appropriate technologies, tools and processes to reduce environmental impacts, in 2019, SLC Agrícola started using the Weedseeker tool, a Trimble selective application system that aims to apply pesticides where really is necessary, promoting savings, reducing impact and increasing efficiency.
Currently, the Pantanal (MS), Planalto (MS), Planorte (MT), Pamplona (GO), Planeste (MA), Parnaíba (MA) and Parceiro (BA) farms already use the tool. The other Units should be serviced in the coming years.
The WeedSeeker is a device composed of 72 sensors and 72 spray nozzles that are attached to the sprayer. The sensors are able to capture shades of green and weed size and, when capturing, the corresponding spray nozzle is activated so that it is applied only to the target.
