SLC Agrícola receives recognition for its Social Responsibility initiatives
On June 12, SLC Agrícola received a social responsibility certificate from Kinder, an organization that believes in the individual potential of people with multiple disabilities. The company partners with the organization in the project Mobiliando Vidas, which has the support of GAS (Socio-Environmental Action Group) volunteers from the company's head office in Porto Alegre.
On June 20, representatives from Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Porto Alegre visited the head office to deliver the Social and Accountability Report of the Institution for 2016. SLC Agrícola was a partner of the institution, allocating tax resources through the Law for the Elderly, to support projects to purchase new equipment. Santa Casa de Misericórdia has seven care units in Porto Alegre and does around 815,000 consultations per year, with 60% of its capacity designated to care within the scope of the SUS (Brazilian National Health System).
