SLC Agrícola participates in an Annual Conference in France
From 31 May to 01 June in the city of Lille in France, the Annual RT12 Conference took place, held by the International Responsible Soy Association (RTRS - Round Table on Responsible Soy). The event aimed to discuss zero deforestation in the production of sustainable soy in the world and to provide tools which can be used to improve transparency in the sector.
Market Operator Filipe Mamede, represented SLC Agrícola at the event. At the event, buyers and producers of responsible soy were able to conduct technical and cultural exchanges, exchanging information and experiences on the production and processing of soy.
In addition to this audience, representatives of governments, organizations and civil society participated in a discussion on deforestation, transparency and scale. The RTRS plans to certify four million tonnes in 2017 and currently about 90% of the Association's business is destined for the European market. SLC Agrícola's soybean is RTRS certified.
