SLC Agrícola innovation investments lead to its inclusion in Ranking 100 Open Startups 2021
SLC Agrícola, one of the world's largest producers of grains and fibers, was included for the first time in the Ranking 100 Open Startups compiled by the business platform Open Startups, which fosters innovation and entrepreneurism by forging relations between startups and large companies. In addition to being included in the ranking, SLC Agrícola also figured among the TOP 5 in agribusiness. The award recognizes those companies most engaged in open innovation in Brazil.
Published since 2016, the Ranking 100 Open Startups recognizes leading corporations in open innovation with startups, as well as the startups most attractive to the corporate market. The list is formed exclusively by companies with over 100 employees and annual revenue above R$100 million. The 2021 edition of the ranking registered 26,348 open innovation relationships between corporations and startups. In all, 3,334 companies and 2,344 startups scored points, but only 100 were selected and recognized for their innovation collaboration efforts.
"Interacting with the innovation ecosystem is gaining greater importance in our company's strategy, which is why we're very pleased with the award's recognition of our efforts and believe that we're on the right path to deliver further advances in the future," said Frederico Logemann, head of innovation at SLC Agrícola.
