SLC Agrícola has the largest area certified by Regenagri in the Americas
SLC Agrícola became the company across the Americas with the largest area certified by the Regenagri regenerative agriculture program for its soybean, corn and cotton cultivation. Two farms — Planalto (Mato Grosso do Sul) and Pamplona (Goiás), with total area of 35,943 hectares - received the Regenagri seal. SLC Agrícola is the third Brazilian company in the agribusiness sector to earn this recognition.
Regenagri is a regenerative agriculture program launched by Control Union, a British company present in over 70 countries, which recognizes good agricultural practices at farms in terms of soil health, preservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of water and carbon sequestration, among other initiatives.
“The Regenagri seal is of utmost importance for the company, as it reinforces our sustainability practices, especially those related to soil health,” said Álvaro Dilli, HR, Sustainability and IT Director at SLC Agrícola. “This certification concerns the chemical, physical and biological aspects of soil, highlighting our actions for intensification of direct seeding, maintenance of soil coverage, crop rotation, Crop-Livestock-Forestry Integration (ICLF) and biological inputs.”
