SLC Agrícola partners with Rabobank Brasil for ESG operation
Taking yet another step in its environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) initiatives, SLC Agrícola signed a partnership with Rabobank Brasil for a R$200 million loan linked to the company’s sustainability targets.
The targets agreed upon by SLC Agrícola and Rabobank include reducing carbon emissions and increasing the water reuse rate in processes by 2023, as well as investments to reduce the risk of workplace accidents and engaging an independent auditor to verify all indicators.
The operation and its targets are part of Rabobank’s goal of expanding the adoption of practices aligned with ESG pillars in the agricultural and financial sectors, while encouraging and supporting producers and companies.
SLC Agrícola has various sustainability targets that it has implemented since 2020, such as reducing its carbon emissions by 25% by 2030.
