Livestock Meeting brings together leaders and experts in Mato Grosso do Sul
On April 8 and 9, we held the Livestock Meeting 2025 in Mato Grosso do Sul, with support from Pantanal Farm, bringing together leaders, clients and employees to discuss topics related to the industry. The event's agenda facilitated the exchange of experiences, learning opportunities, and the alignment of guidelines for the future of livestock management within the company. The event also featured renowned industry experts who emphasized the importance of innovation, sustainability and efficient management in enhancing livestock results.
The schedule included high-level lectures, such as:
— "An Insight into the livestock market 2025-2027," with Rodrigo Albuquerque, Executive Manager of the Notícias do Front portal, who delivered a comprehensive analysis of future scenarios and trends anticipated to influence the sector in the upcoming years.
— "Projections for the Brazilian livestock market for the next decade," presented by Eduardo Pedroso, Executive Director of JBS Friboi, discussed the challenges and opportunities of the national livestock industry in the global context, emphasizing Brazil's role as a leading supplier of animal protein.
— “Sustainable production and development – a viable combination for business profitability,” featuring Paulo Pianez, Director of Sustainability at Marfrig and BRF, offered an essential insight into how to harmonize yield with environmental responsibility in the field.
— “ICLF in practice: challenges and opportunities,” presented by José Albino Zacarin, a consultant specializing in Integrated Crop-Livestock-Forest (ICLF) system, delved into the benefits and demands of this integrated production model, which is being increasingly adopted on farms across Brazil.
The event also valued the internal expertise, featuring presentations led by SLC Agrícola's own employees, discussing topics like “Perspectives on People, Processes, and Technologies in Livestock,” “From Sourcing to Sales: the Importance of Integrity” and “Livestock Production on SLC Agrícola's Farms”. The participants also visited the Pantanal Farm to learn about ICLF at that Unit.
The meeting's opening included the participation of CEO Aurélio Pavinato, Operations Director Leonardo Celini, Livestock Manager André Campanini, and Pantanal Farm Manager Dejair Missio. They emphasized the event's significance and reaffirmed our commitment to the ongoing advancement of livestock management, consistently driven by sustainability, efficiency and innovation. For the next year, the event is expected to be held at Planorte Farm.
