The ranking highlights Latin Americans who make an impact and inspire millions of people with their work and performance in different segments of the economy, business, capital markets, and society. According to the publication, Latin America continues to consolidate itself as a strategic region for the development of business, culture, art, sports, and technology in the world. Bloomberg adds that "the leaders selected in this edition are examples of harnessing the enormous potential of the region, which is recognized worldwide for its natural wealth and excellent human talent in all fields."
This year, the ranking included 150 new names. Brazil, the largest economy in the region, has the largest number of representatives, with 178 nominees. The selection of the 500 most influential Latin Americans is based on an extensive analysis conducted by Bloomberg Línea's editorial team over the past 12 months. The criteria include factors such as job creation and investments that have triggered greater economic activity, among others.
