CEO of SLC Agrícola participates in 3rd Regional Cotton Meeting sponsored by Fundação BA
On Saturday (24), the already traditional annual edition of the Regional Cotton Meeting sponsored by Fundação BA, was held. SLC Agrícola participated in a lecture by its CEO, Aurélio Pavinato, on the importance of healthy financial management of farms.
In addition to Pavinato, other participants included the President of Fundação BA, Zirlene Pinheiro; the President of the Bahia State Cotton Producers Association, Luiz Carlos Bergamaschi; the President of the Bahia State Farmers and Irrigators Association, Odacil Ranzi; the CEO of Consultoria Viés, Paulo Sarracini; the farmer Walter Horita; the President of the Piauí State Cotton Producers Association (Apipa), Amilton Bortolozzo; the CEO of Ide Consultoria, Milton Ide; and Severo Amoreli, from Expertises Consultores Associados.
During the lecture, Pavinato talked about the history of SLC Agrícola, which was founded in 1977, and covered the fundamental pillars for success of an agricultural company, especially large ones, that are common to the state of Bahia: people, processes and technology. He also gave tips for farm managers who need to make financial decisions, citing examples at SLC Agrícola itself, which now has 660,000 hectares and nearly 5,000 employees, following the acquisition of Terra Santa and the leasing of Agrícola Xingu.
