Soy commercialization remains promising
Last Thursday, 06/02, soy futures traded on the Chicago Stock Exchange closed the trading session with increases of more than 2% among the most traded contracts, or recording gains between 26.50 and 39 points. Thus, July was at BRL 17.29 and August at BRL 16.58 per bushel. Part of what supported this advance came from oil, with gains of more than 2% in CBOT and bran, which rose by more than 0.5%.
In Brazil, the dollar fell again and closed out at BRL 4.79. Despite the exchange pressure for soy prices in Brazil, the increases in Chicago have helped to neutralize exchange losses and ensure prices for the domestic producer. In addition, in dollars, per sack, the indicatives are still favorable to the producer, registering values above BRL 40.00/sack.
Although still oscillating, the market presents great demand and favorable conditions for the formation of Brazilian soy prices, especially for future months, with August registering more than 200 cents - or BRL 2.00 - per bushel above the prices charged on the Chicago Stock Exchang.
