History, projects and research
Parnaguá Farm has headquarters in the city of Santa Filomena, located in Serra da Fortaleza, south of the state of Piauí. It was acquired in 2008 with a total area of 20,755,388 ha, started cultivation in the 2012/2013 harvest with 2,629.69 ha. In the 2020/21 harvest, it planted 5,408.80 ha of soy, 3,812 ha of corn and 608 ha of brachiaria. The farm has 59 collaborators.
Paranguá Farm has an area of approximately 61 ha for field tests where the behavior and response of agricultural crops to crop treatments, nutrition, pest, disease and weed control are assessed, as well as the assessment of adaptability and/or stability of genotypes and hybrids. Among the tested crops are sorghum, corn, beans and pulse crops.
